Language classes – English, French, Polish

We have taught French, Polish and English for almost 20 years. We have linguistic qualifications, teaching preparation and rich teaching experience. What is more, we enthusiastically pass to others what we have learned with such a passion ourselves. We have taught in public and private schools, in group courses and in individual classes. We have taught foreigners of many different nationalities. We have been preparing children and teenagers to language exams, and did the basics with adult students or mastered the linguistic skills they already acquired.  We have taught business language to corporate employees, and medical language to doctors and nurses. Many of our students successfully sat at different national level examinations (matriculation, leaving cert, First Certificate, CAE).

Based on these experiences, we know that each and every one of our students has different expectations, different language acquisition abilities and different motivation. Everyone learns at a different speed and with a different amount of effort. We therefore offer classes adjusted to the the needs of our students, and their interests.

We know that to learn a foreign language you need to be persevering and make an effort. It is not true that you may acquire a good command of a foreign language in a week’s time. But we believe that with a bit of effort and a smart, inspiring teacher who knows how to encourage, motivate and instruct his or her students, everybody can do it.

You just need to want it and know how.

We offer the following kinds of language courses:

• English / French / Polish for children

“Language at play” is the motto of our school. It is a widely known fact that children learn the quickest when playing games, so during the classes for this age group of students a lot of attention is paid to language games, songs and tales.

• French / Polish / English for teenagers

Classes for teenagers who, due to their age and growing up pains, do not always manage to find enough motivation in themselves to learn foreign languages are based mainly on topics which are of interest to them, concern them or amuse them. When you learn with pleasure, you’re already halfway through.

The English language is an official language in Ireland. Non-native teenagers, especially those who have arrived to Ireland only recently and who have not acquired the language naturally at a creche, may sometimes experience some difficulties in an English speaking school.  Often those difficulties with understanding the language, mastering the grammar rules, writing essays or the lack of reading and comprehending, etc. may impede the assimilation of the school’s curriculum .

We offer English learning assistance focused on school needs, so that teenage students may catch up to their English native peers and absorb the knowledge without hindrance.

French is right after Polish the main foreign language spoken in Ireland, and taught in Irish schools. And though it is one of the most beautiful languages in the world, it certainly isn’t the easiest.  Teenagers who wish to complement their school classes of French with additional lessons or who want to start the wonderful adventure with the language and culture of France and the French speaking countries are more than welcome at Co-Star Translations.  Important note: please, remember that the passion for the French language may be contagious!
