The language of law is the language used in different texts of law and containing many technical terms not used or understood in a natural language. It is a very formalised type of language, full of legal definitions.

The aim of the legal definitions is to specify and give a very precise meaning of terms.

Legal language is the language of lawyers. It is the language used in statements relating to the law, especially the law that is currently binding.
